Fixed Route
Monthly Performance Report
January 2023
Prepared by OTS Service Evaluation
·
Ridership
Average weekday ridership
for the month of January 2023 was 123,680, up by 21,044 or 21% from the
previous year. Fiscal year-to-date ridership is at 22,918,001, up by 15% from the
previous year.
Ridership continues to recover
in 2023 and is still approximately 37 percent lower than pre-pandemic level.
·
On-Time Performance
System-wide on-time performance
is at 66.9% for the month of January 2023. Out of 107 total routes, 34 routes exceeded
on-time performance at 80% and 1 performed under 50%.
The DTS and OTS Service
Review Committee reviews service levels, including on-time performance monthly.
·
Maintenance
As a result of the
COVID pandemic, the spare ratio is above our normal 20% requirement due to low
ridership. The fleet size has been decreased from 520 to 480 vehicles. We
project that at this quantity we will come close to meeting our spare ratio
requirements when rail service begins.
·
Service Modifications
Service modifications
to the following routes were implemented with the December sign-up and remain
in effect until the March sign-up.
-
Route
4 added up to ten (10) daily service hours;
-
Route
415 reinstated base-period service;
-
Route
416 rerouted westbound and eastbound.
We continue to work
with DTS on bus service integration with rail service for the near future.
